Delight in the taste of the world through the University of Minnesota Crookston’s annual International Dinners Series. The 2017 series highlights Bangladesh, South Africa, Mongolia, and the International Dinner Finale. These dinners are scheduled for Monday, March 6, Monday, March
20, and Monday, March 27, with the finale on Wednesday, April 5. All dinners begin at 6 p.m. in Bede Ballroom, Sargeant Student Center. For tickets and information, contact Rae French at 218-281-8339 (rfrench.umn.edu). Tickets are limited.
Individual Tickets for Adults: $20 meals in March; $25 for the final International Dinner on April 5; Individual Tickets for Children: $15 meals in March; $20 for the final International Dinner in April; Series Tickets: Complete ticket set for all 4 meals are $75 for adults; Children (18 and under) are $65.
These dinners are family friendly and a highlight for people interested in culture.
Monday, March 6, Bangladesh- “Life Happens Here: Bangladesh” features presenter, Imran Mahmud; starting at 6 p.m.
Monday, March 20, South Africa- “South Africa: The Rainbow Nation” features presenters Scott Pearce & Diane Cilengi; starting at 6 p.m.
Monday, March 27, Mongolia- “Land of the Eternal Blue Sky: Mongolia” features presenter, Urangoo Battulga; starting at 6 p.m.
Wednesday, April 5, Final International Dinner- starting 5 p.m. booth displays in the Northern Lights Lounge; 6 p.m. International Dinner & Show; The dinner series concludes with dances, singing, instruments, and more. There will be booths on display, food from several countries, and International students from fourteen different countries.
